Donnie Munro – a man who’s CV reads like the New Year’s Honours list. Art teacher, Edinburgh University rector, parliamentary candidate, and legendary front man for one of Scotland’s most successful bands ever…it seems that nothing is beyond the man who’s voice made Runrig a household name.
Having recently completed filming on the Isle of Skye, Donnie is out on the road again promoting his new album ‘Fields of the Young’. Continuing to demonstrate his ‘passion for live music’, Donnie will take us through his latest compositions (but expect a few old favourites thrown in as well).
This band have taken their unique brand of ‘New Highland music’ to almost unprecedented heights, gliding effortlessly into the American and Canadian music scenes, with more plans to tour various European countries in the near future.
Their exciting and energetic set, full of ‘beautiful airs and powerful songs’, using guitars, fiddle and bagpipes, will undoubtedly ensure that Wolfstone’s already impressive reputation remains firmly intact.
Voted one of the top three guitarists in the world by the American magazine ‘Guitar Player’, the highly acclaimed flamenco virtuoso Juan Martin is nothing short of awe inspiring.

From the start of his career with Lindisfarne, which brought us ‘Meet me on the corner’, Rod Clements has waltzed through the British folk music hall of fame, collaborating with everyone from Bert Jansch to Pentangle.
This evening’s- selection of tracks from his new album, described as ‘superb’ and ‘very rootsy’, should be well worth the wait.
All the way from Senegal, Samba Sene brings us the intensely colourful 8 piece outfit Diwan, meaning ‘the whole world’, adding their own unique African flavour to this event.
